Questions & Answers About Car Wraps

Car wraps are available for all makes and model vehicles. Wraps begin as huge sheets of adhesive backed vinyl engineered precisely for vehicle application. Custom wraps are available in hundreds of colors, finishes, and textures allowing your vehicle to be as individual as you are! Wraps can consist of solid colors, two tones, illustrations, photography and company branding. The potential for creativity is truly endless.

Pricing is custom for every project as it depends on the overall scope of work. The driving factors are the make and model vehicle, design time, overall graphic coverage, surface complexity, and vinyl used. We also take into consideration any disassembling, re-assembling, or removal of previous films, wraps, and clear bra. Please contact us today for a formal quote on your project.

No. However a sub-par installation or graphic removal can. Bad application means your vehicles paint may be damaged by razor blade cuts or poor adhesion leading to wrap failure. Our wraps are meticulously applied to your vehicle by a team of talented UASG/3M certified technicians ensuring only the highest quality results. We use knifless trimming tools to keep your paint safe. If your vehicle has a poor or damaged painted surface there is a possibility areas of your paint could have issues when removing. On nice factory paint, our vinyls are a removable product and will come off with out harming your paint. The vinyl actually protects your paint when it is on the surface of the vehicle from rock chips and debris.

Vinyl is very much like paint in that the longevity is largely based on how the wrap is cared for, the amount of daily stress the wrap encounters on the roads, and the cleaning and upkeep practices of the owner. We’ve seen daily driving cars last up to 5 years with no need for major repairs to the wrap.

By all means! It is a tedious process to complete but we offer full removal services if you don’t want to take on the work yourself. Not only does the wrap come off clean and without damaging the vehicle, but it preserves the paint ensuring the best resale value should you ever decide to sell the car.

If the vinyl you are supplying is a 3M1080, Avery 900 Series, or Oracal 970 film, we are willing to take on the installing only. We cannot be held responsible for vinyl that is damaged in process if we are not supplying the film.

No. The surface texture of a vehicle that is unpainted or primed does not allow for the vinyl wrap to adhere correctly and makes the wrap susceptible to lifting and failure. It also voids all manufactures warranties on the film.

You will need to be sure that your vehicle is clean as much of the time as possible. We recommend regular hand washing, or touch free car washes to remove surface contamination that can result in stains or damage to the wrap from road grime that is on the vehicle for a prolonged period of time. You can use standard car wash soaps, detail sprays, and wax on gloss finishes. DO NOT wax, polish, or use any detail spray on your matte or satin finish as it will result in damage to the vinyl’s sheen.

We use only the highest quality industry standard films for all of our wrap projects. We offer 3M Controltac for all of our full color wraps, and 3M1080, Avery 900 Series Supreme, and Oracal 970 restyling films for color change paint wraps.

You know what they say; you get what you pay for. Our pricing is based on the overall quality and craftsmanship of our work. We make every effort in our process to ensure a long lasting high quality wrap. With this comes a very time consuming detailed process that really separates us from the down and dirty lick ‘em and stick ‘em shops.

On all color change paint wraps we start off by completely detailing your exterior paint including a premium clay bar service. We then have certified professional Auto Body technicians dismantle the car including removal of lighting, door handles, antennas, bumpers, trim pieces, emblems, and anything that can get in the way of creating a seamless wrap. Once the car wrap is complete we carefully reassemble the vehicle and reinstall all of the parts, accessories, and emblems, back to their original state.

Typical full color commercial wraps can be completed in 2-3 days. A full color change paint wrap can take up to a full week depending on the vehicle complexity, film type, secondary stripes, and accent graphics.

Well a cheap paint job is always a bad idea, and wraps are not suited for vehicles with bad paint or body damage. There are pros and cons to both wrapping and painting, but generally speaking a high quality paintjob will cost much more than a vinyl wrap.

We take preservation of the existing paint very seriously as it’s one of the best returns on your investment. Whether you own or lease your vehicle, a wrap will help to preserve your factory paint and result in a higher resale value in the future.

Wraps are also not permanent and that’s another huge advantage. Many of our clients have vehicles that they love and do not want to get rid of. With that being said they also tend to grow tired of the color and wrapping represents a way to make the car new again in a sense every so often.

If you ever damage your wrap, individual body panels can be repaired for far less than a paint repair. We also work with all insurance companies and can work through them for the repair as well.
